I met Tatyana and Vyacheslav in Florence where I was called as a photographer to capture their wedding emotions in this magnificent city.
A Moscow travel Agency was looking for a photographer that fit the request of a couple that wanted to celebrate their wedding in Florence and the choice was fell to me. Given my availability, I made it a point to know the couple’s ideas and understand the type of photography they had in mind. I accepted this task with great pleasure.
Tatyana and Vyacheslav’s interest in each other began to during summer holidays at a party in Moscow city a few years ago. Several times this couple had glanced at each other while talking with their friends, but neither had taken the first step. Every summer holiday they met, but they never attempted to get to know each other. Seven years were spent from those first glances when Vyacheslav found himself sitting in a bar in Moscow relaxing at lunch break. Just then he saw Tatyana coming in the same bar and to have a coffee. It was at this moment that Vyacheslav realized that destiny had prepared the way for a true meeting of the heart! Vyacheslav, filled with radiant happiness, gathered his courage and immediately declared his feelings towards her. From that moment Tatyana and Vyacheslav have been together and are building their future.
I arrived in Florence in the central area near the railway station early in the morning and went to see where the ceremony would take place. It was to be in the roof garden of the Hotel Baglioni. The Wedding Planner, the florist with his team and the maître that was organizing wedding lunch were already there. The view from the roof was breath taking. All Florence was at our feet in it’s splendor.
The bride and the groom were still in their rooms at the Hotel. The bride was almost finished being made up with help of make-up artist and she was like a princess in her elegant wedding dress by Pronovias, while the groom was ready to go. I asked if they wanted to be photographed while they were in the hotel preparing, but they preferred to have only the ceremony and the walk through the city. Just as the bride finished the Wedding Planner and the florist with her assistants handed her her bouquet. Everybody was ready, and the happy couple, followed by their guests departed for the ceremony.
To have two beautiful newlyweds and a gorgeous landscape like in Florence was photographically very exciting for me. It’s an unmatched background that enriched every single photo taken and I’m sure that even you will feel the beautiful emotions that they transmit. After the ceremony, I made shots with the bride and groom in this stunning landscape not to mention some photos with friends. Then we moved on to the restaurant to enjoy a luncheon buffet. The room had beautiful lighting and charming color details and I couldn’t resist taking numerous photographs here. On one side there were party favors, an excellent tasting of Tuscan wine with the traditional sugared almond sweets that are found in all Italian weddings. After the lunch we went out into the streets of the city, starting from Ponte Vecchio searching out beautiful and unique views and picturesque backgrounds so as to make a photographic memory of this beautiful day in Florence for the newlyweds to enjoy for years to come.
Wishing a lot of happiness to Tatyana e Vyacheslav!
